Everyone from the staff was friendly. Only 1 mile from dollywood. Fox Den Restaurant, set within 5 minutes' walk, was the best for dining.

We had reservations at a very nice hotel which got mixed up and they gave our room away during a very busy Fall weekend. Your website directed us to the Grand Resort which was absolutely terrible, the worst that I have ever stayed with. The front desk staff were overwhelmed by about 6 families trying to check in at the same time. Check-in took over an hour even though there were 5 people working the desk. I did not matter that I had reservations from an online booking. While checking in, one angry couple that was already checked-in, came down and complained about being placed into someone else's room. Apparently, they walked in and were greeted with a big surprise. One of the guys at the front desk put a cigarette in his mouth. Everything was manual and traditional keys were still being used. I requested 2 adjacent rooms because I had kids with me, and without notice, they placed us in smoking rooms which wreaked of cigeratte smoke. I went down to complain, but realized that I would have to stand in line again to get it fixed, so I gave up. We would have moved to another hotel if there were any available. The rooms were dirty, the comforters and sheets had cigarette stains and burn holes. My mattress was very uncomfortable by being higher in the middle and each side listing down. The pillows were very flat. My kids were so paranoid about catching something that they slept in their clothes. The bathrooms were the worst, with cigarette burns stained in the tub and also some previous patron's pee stained on the toilet seat. The towels and rags seemed laundered but did not smell fresh and had stains. The toilets were tiny, right out of the sixties. Each bathroom had two tiny packets of shampoo and a little bar of soap. The shower / tub was at least 30 years old and the water temperature would shift suddenly to cold and then scolding hot when a patron in another room would flush their toilet.

It was Average. See below
It took 1 1/2 hrs to check in. They said it was a computer problem and some Res. wern't in the computer but mine was in the computer but I had to wait in line until the lost reservations came thru. Then they wouldn 't even offer any kind of discount.

We didn't care for hotel at all. We had stayed in the past and it was a decent clean fairly priced hotel. However this time it was not. The carpets are nasty, the comforters had someone's body hair on them. The sheets had a ciggeratte burns in them and on tub, and this was a no smoking room. They charge for coffee and breakfast bar. We ran to Walmart got sheets and blankets, so we wouldn't use theirs, and flip flops so we didn't walk on carpet, and Lysol and cleaned ourselves, only reason we didn't change hotels was we had used our American Express and to have a charge removed for card would of taken half of trip time and limited our spending which was limited to start with. No we would not recommend staying here to no one!!!

Staff was friendly
Did not like the location of the room.Close to a stream and people wd. Come out at night and sit at picnic tables outside our room, drink, smoke, etc. Also several water bugs in the room. The door did not fit good and there was about 1/2 inch clearing on the bottom.
